I am enthusiastically announcing my name for
Cambria County Commissioner.
My family came from Tanneryville and I lived in the West End before moving to Richland. A graduate of Richland High School, I participated in football and wrestling. Six weeks after graduation, I entered the United States Marine Corps. After completing boot camp on Paris Island, I served as a machine gunner with the 6th fleet in the Mediterranean and participated in operation Fluid Drive. I was also stationed at Camp LeJeune until my honorable discharge.

Upon returning to Johnstown, I enrolled at UPJ, began work at Richman Brothers and the UPJ Book Store. Shortly after that I started work on the docks of UPS Johnstown. I met a South Fork girl, Kerry Frazer, who would later become my wife. I graduated from UPJ with a Business Accounting degree and began full time with UPS where I continued working for the next 26 years in various positions and centers throughout West Central Pa.
I was selected to be part of a national 12-man team to develop GPS tracking. During that time, I worked throughout the country with the Industrial Engineering Department in New York, Minnesota, Mississippi, California, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the project, I was brought back to run the Johnstown facility. During my time at the Johnstown Center, I enrolled in St Francis University’s Human Resources master’s program. I graduated with a Masters in Human Resource/Industrial Relations.

After “retiring” from United Parcel Service, I began work for my younger brother in the computer field doing data recovery for his Orange County California company DataMechanix. I worked in and around California until my parents got sick, at which time, I returned to Johnstown to help care for them. I began work as a Prudential and Liberty Mutual agent with the Hershberger Financial Group on Scalp Ave, Johnstown where I am presently employed as a licensed Life, Property and Causality agent.
I am the founder and President of the Lucas Foundation, Inc. where our mission is helping family’s who lose an infant at birth. I spent time as an adjunct professor for Geneva College and was an executive board member for Rally In the Valley. I am Pro-2nd Amendment and I Choose Life.

Currently I am Secretary of the Forest Hills School Board and member of the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Joint Operating Committee. I also belong to the South Fork Lions and Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. I have been married 43 years, have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
I believe my experiences qualify me for the noble position of Cambria County Commissioner.
Red White and Blue to the Core!
